What are Democracy and Capitalism?
And how do they interact?

Democracy
Democracy is a system of government in which the people have the power to participate in government, choose their leaders, and influence decisions while protecting the rights and perspectives of all people. Democracy is present in many countries around the world and plays a crucial role in the way many people live.
Capitalism
Capitalism is a system in which people and businesses can use their money and resources (capital) to create, produce, and trade goods and services in open markets, with limited restrictions from governments or other groups. Capitalism allows people to create new businesses and find jobs, own private property, use banks, and participate in the economy.

Together
Democracy and Capitalism work together.
Democracy allows people to participate in government, choose leaders, influence decisions, and protect rights. That participation and legislation create the conditions for capitalism to exist. Meanwhile, capitalism provides the economic foundations that allow people to participate in and sustain democracy. Essentially, democracy supports capitalism, and capitalism supports democracy.
