Element Description:
Majority rule is an important principle of democracy. In a democracy, the majority of people have the power to make decisions and create policies through voting. This means that when people disagree, the option supported by more than half (51% or more) of the voters generally determines the outcome.
Majority rule allows citizens to have a voice in government while providing a way for groups to make decisions and move forward.
